The Australian Government is changing the way Home Care Package Program providers are paid
Phase 2 will commence from the 1st September, 2021. Home care subsidies will continue to be paid in arrears but the payments will be for actual services delivered. The Government will collect and hold the Commonwealth portion of unspent funds in each care recipient’s home care account, until needed by the care recipient.
