Several reporting deadlines and rule changes land in the next four weeks. Here they are in date order, so your team can plan around them.
Portals: 19 and 20 October
The 19 October Gateway and GPMS update includes online management of Specialisation Verification applications, priority Support at Home access for people with Motor Neurone Disease, a reintroduced Client Journey Tracker, and improved access controls and information security. GPMS will also add 24/7 registered nurse reporting for Multi-Purpose Services Program providers.
For Specialisation Verification, no new applications or evidence are accepted from 26 September to 19 October. Existing verifications stay valid until they expire.
Since 1 October, anyone logging in to the My Aged Care Service and Support Portal, Hospital Portal or Assessor Portal must review and accept updated Terms of Use.
They set clearer expectations on security, authorised access and responsible use, and suspected misuse can lead to suspended or terminated access.
Reporting: 21 October to 4 November
Quality indicator reporting is due first, then the Aged Care Financial Report and Provider Operations Collection Form on 31 October. The Quarter 1 Quarterly Financial Report is already open in the GPMS Registered Provider Portal and is due on 4 November.
Agreements and fees: 31 October and 1 November
Extra service and additional service fee arrangements end on 31 October, and the service agreement and Higher Everyday Living Fee changes follow on 1 November. CHSP providers must also have Service Agreements and Care and Services Plans in place for all Care Recipients from the same date.
A simple way to use this list:
- Give each date an owner on your team.
- Work backwards from each deadline, starting with the tasks that depend on others, such as auditors and residents’ representatives.
- Check that the records each report needs are in one place before you start.
If you would like help lining up your records and reports against these dates, the Care Systems team is happy to talk it through.
