Compliance Reporting

Quarterly Financial Report (QFR)

The Quarterly Financial report (QFR) was introduced in July 2022 with the intention to provide financial oversight of the aged care sector enabling analysis and monitoring of financial viability, informing the star rating system and informing the funding model.

Much of the data required by the QFR can be generated from Care Systems using the transaction data from within Care Systems.

Compliance Reporting

Aged Care Financial Report (ACFR)

The Aged Care Financial Report (ACFR) allows the Australian Government to collect financial information for approved providers and parent entities.

The Care Systems ACFR reporting tool can be used to complete sections of the 2024 ACFR report template that relate to RADs, DAPs, RACs, DACs, Accommodation Bonds, and residential accommodation payments.

The information generated can be used to complete the following sections of the ACFR report:

  • Accommodation Payment Balances
  • SACH Accommodation Payments Non-Supported
  • SACH Accommodation Payments Partially Supported

Compliance Reporting

Workplace Gender Equality Agency Reporting (WGEA)

The Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 requires non-public sector employers with 100 or more employees to submit a report to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency for the preceding 12-month period, annually, as a part of the Commonwealth Public Sector Gender Equality Reporting program.

The WGEA Excel template can be generated directly from Care Systems with the majority of the data required for the report completed using Care Systems employee data.

Compliance Reporting

Quarterly Care Minutes Target

The Department of Health assigns and publishes star ratings for each provider. It is intended that the star ratings help consumers make more informed choices about their aged care by providing meaningful information about the quality of services. The star ratings are based on:

  • Quality indicators
  • Service compliance ratings
  • Consumer experience
  • Staff care minutes

Residential providers are assigned care minutes targets for both total care and Registered Nurses (RNs) which need to be met to maintain the desired star rating for the staff care component. Rostering the correct number of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Care Staff is the key to meeting these targets.

Care Systems have developed a report which compares the rostered hours for each reporting group to the care minutes targets and calculates the number of shifts required to meet the care minutes targets and highlights any shortfalls in rostered hours.
